Cookies for a Cause

Being philanthropic has always been important to me; it is a value that my family has instilled in me. I used to make sandwiches every week to donate to my local food pantry. So, I figured that with my first business, what better to do than give back. Each quarter, 20% of CoolSummer profits will be donated to a charity. Staying with the theme of food, a lot of these charities will be food related. This is especially important because of how big of a problem food insecurity is in large cities like New York City. Being able to give back to the community is a large part of our mission here at CoolSummer.

Current Charity: Citymeals on Wheels

Citymeals serves 22,000 older New Yorkers across all five boroughs, delivering nutritious meals on weekends, holidays and during emergencies — building and maintaining connections within our community. Deliveries from our dedicated team of staff and volunteers, which allow for face-to-face check-ins, are sometimes the only personal interaction many of our meal recipients have… Since 1981, we've delivered nearly 70 million meals to older New Yorkers in need.
